Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026. We wrote this policy in plain English so it’s easy to follow. The short version: your files stay on your device, and we collect as little information as we can.
The Short Version
- Our tools work inside your browser. The files, text and numbers you use with them are not uploaded to our server.
- We don’t ask you to create an account, and we don’t sell your information.
- Like most websites, we collect some basic visit statistics to understand how the site is used.
- If you email us, we use your name and email address only to reply to you.
Files and Text You Use With Our Tools
When you merge a PDF, compress an image, count words or use any other tool, the work is done by your own browser on your own device. Your files and text are not sent to us, so we can’t see, store or share them.
A few tools remember what you typed in your browser’s local storage, for example the Word Counter and the HTML Beautifier, so your work is still there if you refresh the page. This data stays on your device. You can clear it at any time with the tool’s Clear button or through your browser settings.
Information We Collect
Visit Statistics
We may use analytics services, such as Google Analytics through Google Site Kit, to see things like how many people visit, which pages are popular, roughly which country visitors come from and what kind of device they use. This information is grouped together and isn’t used to identify you personally.
Server Logs
Our hosting provider automatically keeps short term technical logs, which can include your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested. These logs help keep the site secure and working properly.
Messages You Send Us
If you email us, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to answer you and keep the conversation for as long as it’s useful.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, mainly for analytics and to keep the site running smoothly. You can read more, and find out how to turn them off, in our Cookie Policy.
Third Party Services
To keep the site fast, some files are delivered by trusted outside services. These include a content delivery network for speed, Google Fonts for our fonts, and public code libraries from jsDelivr and cdnjs that power some tools. When your browser loads these files, the provider can see your IP address, as with any website. They don’t receive the files you work on.
How Long We Keep Information
Analytics data is kept for the period set in our analytics settings and then deleted automatically. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to help you. We don’t keep any of the files you use with our tools because we never receive them.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it’s used. To make a request, please email us at admin@theconverter.site and we’ll help as quickly as we can.
Children
Our tools are meant for a general audience. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us their details, please let us know and we’ll delete them.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Big changes will be made clear on the site.
